What's the oldest piece of clothing you still own?
The oldest piece of clothing I own is this Eraserhead shirt I made well over 20 years ago. I made this at a time when Holy Mountain did not really exist. It was just me running a tiny screen printing shop with one broken down 4 color manual press. This shirt is an ancient Gildan Heavy Cotton blank that is so worn it is more grey than black. It is beautifully threadbare which I think shows in the photos pretty well.
I am a fanatic about all the David Lynch movies and honestly about the man himself, but Eraserhead holds a very special place in my heart. He would sit next to Alejandro Jodorowsky as my two guides in this world and both had a profound impact on me.
Also, I should sidebar quickly and make a suggestion, if you have never read the book Lynch On Lynch look it up and get it. I have read it at least five times in my life and it is such an insightful glimpse into the Lynch world! Anyway, I made this because I simply wanted an Eraserhead shirt and at the time it did not exist, so I needed to manifest it. The print is tiny because I did not have a real film printer and the screen was shot with a transparency I made at a local Kinkos Copy. The logo has almost completely worn away but Jack Nance's iconic face has held up and honestly the years of wear on tear have only made him look cooler.
What makes this shirt special is I wore it until it was threadbare, grey and riddled with holes and now my 18-year-old son who is also a David Lynch fanatic has taken it from me and wears it all the time. I love seeing it on him, I love it's second life on my son who is actually the coolest person I know.

I went back to my mom’s house for my dad’s funeral last year and found a Sick Of It All 20 year anniversary shirt from 2006. It still fits great, and the show I got it at was on my 20th birthday.
Getting to see SOIA play a killer set and then going to get In-N-Out afterwards with one of my best friends is still a great memory. Rest in power, Lou.
oldest shirt I still have is a Crow shirt from the early 90’s. Pre-dates the movie, even pre-dates the comic being sold to Kitchen Sink. It has the Tundra comics logo on the sleeve. Still fits me!

I still have an OG Austin 3:16 shirt from 1998 when I was 12 or 13. From around the same time I managed to find a UK distributor of WCW merchandise – managed to get a black and white NWO shirt. I was quite chubby at the time, so they’re both XL’s, which suit me perfectly at 41. Massive thanks to my Mum, who used her credit card on the mail order forms.
The oldest shit I still have is easily an Eric Clapton shirt I got from my first show back in maybe 09?
I’ve always loved a variety of music and loved Clapton’s guitar work. Im even one who argues that the Beatles song "while my guitar gently weeps* is as much a Clapton song as it is a Beatles records since George seeked clapton for the help.
Memories are nothing you can’t buy and as many shows as I’ve gone to that is one I will always hold dear to me.
